SubscriberI purchase Keyshot lisence under ANSYS last year and after the release of Discovery 2020 R2, the Keyshot Lisence shows Legacy, and clicking on the Keyshot Tab in Space Claim, it opens Keyshot in Demo mode.Â
1. how to active the full version
2. Keyshot Ver 9 is out, I like to be able to use in Stand alone as that is the full experience of using keyshot.Â
3. what does Keyshot (Legacy Lisence mean)? does that mean it is tied to only the old version of Keyshot? when Lisence paid is eqalavent to a full Lisence for Keyshot, why are we getting a Legacy software handicapped by tieying it to Space claim only and not able to get the full experience.

Ansys EmployeeHello ein
I just tested a simple case and could send the model from SpaceClaim to Keyshot using the Keyshot addin. See below snapshot.
Can you let me know which Keyshot version gets launched on your machine when you click the "Create" button in Keyshot menu? Also, which Keyshot license do you have?
I don't think Keyshot version 9 is supported. The supported version is 8.2.
The Keyshot add-on license that is available under Discovery/SpaceClaim license bundle doesn't allow the use of Keyshot in standalone mode. You can launch Keyshot only through the button available in the Keyshot menu of SpaceClaim.
The reason you are seeing Keyshot license marked as legacy is that the add-on licenses of Keyshot are no more available for selling.
I would request you to get in touch with the Ansys Sales representative/Account Manager or the Channel Partner/ Reseller from whom you purchased the license. They will be able to provide you with detailed information about Keyshot licensing. Â
