SubscriberHello,
I have been using Ansys Maxwell Student for a short time. I don't know if this is the right place to ask questions. I am trying to model two coils in mutual inductance. I followed exactly all the steps in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_Wa5prjPMk . However, when I get to the 'Analyze all' step, the analysis starts but stops a few minutes later and returns the message: [error] Setup1: Mesh size (75818 volume elements) exceeded Ansys Electronics Desktop Student limit. I understand that the student software is limited in performance. However, the simulation I'm asking for doesn't seem very complex to me, and I can't figure out how to solve this problem. I don't know where can I change the volume of the elements. So I would like to know how could I simulate this system with Ansys Student and its limitations. Waiting for someone's help.
Cordially, Victor

Forum ModeratorHello,
In the initial mesh settings dialog box, keep the slider at a coarse resolution under the curved surface mesh setting and run the simulation.
Please check the mesh element count limit and product restrictions available on the AEDT Student download page:
