Fluid-Structure Interaction for a moving body

      Hi,
I am trying to solve an oscillating airfoil using system coupling between Fluent and transient structure.

I was able to successfully run the benchmark problems for FSI on its own. Further, I was able to solve an oscillating airfoil by imposing the motion to the airfoil as a rigid body using Define Cg motion and dynamic mesh.

Now, my question is how I can impose the motion for the airfoil in fluent and also define the same airfoil as a system coupling ?!
The airfoil is flexible and I have to use 2-way FSI

What should I do and what UDF do I have to use?!

Any help will be much appreciated.

      Hi,

I suggest to check fluent tutorial on FSI: Chapter 28: Modeling Two-Way Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) Within Fluent (ansys.com)

If you are not able to access the link, please refer to this forum discussion: Using Help with links (ansys.com)

      Hope this helps you

      Thank you

Thank you, this feature is new. This will be very helpful

on the other hand, my final goal is to couple Piezo+Fluent+Transient Structure.

Do you have any idea how to impose the oscillation motion within FSI (not the intrinsic FSI)?!

I will need to couple piezo in the next step
