HFSS Report Context Type: Differential Pairs vs Terminals

I am trying to determine the input impedance that is mesured line to line of long pair of traces to see the effects of planes coupling onto the pair. What is the difference between the reported Z-parameter value for a terminal and differential pair?  Different values are measured depening on the type that is selected whether that is the differential pair {zt(Diff1,Diff1)} or terminals {zt(SIG_T,SIG_F)}. Is the stimulus that is applied different between the type that is selected?

      Hi,

Thank you for reaching out and your patience is much appreciated.

Please go through this link from the online help - Ansys Electronics 2023 R1 - Terminals Theory for a better understanding of the differential pairs.

      Best regards,
      Praneeth.
