      Hi,

I am trying to understand why I get those error on my simulations report :

      • WARNING :Some results have been computed on the extrapolated surface of the mirror(s).
      • WARNING :Some samples of the warping are outside the Picture Generation Unit.
      • WARNING :Some sample images have not been computed.

What I don't understand is why extrapolating surfaces? I don't want my mirrors to be bigger and it seems to lead to invalid results. I tryied different parameters on my pgu and my virtual image in order to reduce their surface, logicaly it should lead to smaller miror need, but I still have this error?

      Can someone help me understand?

For the extrapolated error warning, it means that some rays hit outside of the mirror, sometimes the rays are barely outside, and for some specific metrics or eyebox sample it doesn't mean much. I guess the ray originated from the source hits the outside of mirror, after some propagation.

WARNING :Some samples of the warping are outside the Picture Generation Unit:  it seems to indicate there is an issue with the design, but I cannot give you much more information without looking at the document with the HUD feature.

WARNING :Some sample images have not been computed.: I believe this is due to the above two warnings.
