A current stk license could not be found.

Dear Support,
I have installed version 12.5

I have installed the latest versions of both the client and ansys license server. I have also ensured the license is up to date. I do have a green check mark from the client side. I do run all installs as Admin.

For reference, starting with 2021R1 the applications must communicate through ansyslmd and lmgrd, where past releases used lmgrd and the ansysli_server process on 2325.
In this case all your other products worked because they were running versions 2020R2, using just the lmgrd and ansysli_server ports which were already open on the firewall. So adding the ansyslmd process to the Windows firewall resolved the issue.

  I am having a similar issue and dont know how to resolve it. When I test the license I get the green check mark, but as soon as I launch STK I get an error message: "A current STK license could not be found..."
  Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

James, what version are you running? Do you have other Ansys products installed? Do they work? If you select the "FlexNet Publisher License Status" or "Features in Use" button in the Licensing Settings utility, what is reported?

I am having the same issue with the STK license. STK 12.7 was installed along with ANSYS 2023R1 (which does work). Ansyslmd was added into the firewall for access but the error still occurred.
What is the next step?

The configuration settings file does exist with the correct server/port number, which is "police.ceas1.uc.edu@1055".

Please do this from the Ansys Licensing Settings tool, not the License Management Center. "FlexNet Publisher License Status" or "Features in Use" button in the Licensing Settings utility.

I just looked back through my emails and found that we do have licenses that don't expire until July 31, 2024. What needs to be done to get them into the system?

If you look in those INCREMENTs you will see START=01-aug-2023.

Please contact your Ansys Account Manager about revising the Start date, if it's possible.
