SubscriberHello all,
Â
I am carrying out a transient simulation of a non newtonian fluid using fluent and I would like to know how to get on CFD post the shear stress contour over the entire volume of the fluid.
As far as I know the shear stress can be obtained from the dynamic viscosity and shear rate product but I can't find the proper variables on CFD post.
Â
Thank you very much for your kind help

Forum ModeratorHave a look in Fluent. Strain rate is in the Derivatives and viscosity in Properties.Â

SubscriberFirst of all thank you for your response.
I could see those results on Fluent. However, Can be possible to represent these results on CFD-post? Because I cannot see them on the variables menu.

Forum ModeratorYou might have to add the data to the file. In Fluent some variables are calculated purely for post processing and aren't routinely stored in the .dat files. If you also write .cdat files you can add (and remove) data but they can't be read back into Fluent.Â
