SubscriberHi all!
I have a question about the 'Flux[Current]' output in the ECE model. I modeled an electromagnetic energy harvester in Maxwell 3D. A copper coil is modeled in the middle and the magnets are placed on two sides of the coil. I could generate an ECE model with 'Flux[Current]' output from the coil. Does anyone know how this output is calculated from Maxwell? Is it the average flux across the coil? Which direction of the flux is considered?

I tried to generate an ECE model of it. But I have a question about the 'Flux[current]' set up in the coil terminals. Do you know how this value is calculated from the coil? In my understanding, it should be the Integration of the magnetic flux in the volume of the coil. Is this correct?

Subscriberthanks for the reply!
I have another question. In Maxwell 3D (magnetostatic) analysis, I have a 'force' setup in 'Parameters'. When generating the ECE model, the force in the z-direction is selected as an output.
Do you know how the force is calculated in this model? In my understanding, when moving the magnets, the induced current will be generated in the coil and the current will lead to a magnetic field, which will generate the force on the magnets to prevent their motion. But in the model setup, the coil is not connected to the circuit. There should be no current in the coil. But why the force still exists?
