How do
Beam and shell which are parallel to each other with a gap between both, how to do connection between both in ansys mechanical?
Use Bonded Contact. Set the Behavior to MPC. Set the Pinball Radius to be larger than the distance from the line body to the sheet body.
If you split the face of the sheet, then the Bonded Contact can be between the line and the split edge on the sheet, and the connection elements will be just a single row with no width.
