Assembly meshing (cutcell) in mechanical

      Hello everyone,

Could you please let me know where the cutcell meshing is in mechanical 2021R1? It was in "Advanced" part in ANSYS 2019R2, but now I cannot find it.

      Cheers!

Check it's not been labelled as "assembly meshing". Note, you need to set the solver to be Fluent otherwise it'll remain hidden.

; The physics preference is on CFD and the solver preference is on fluent. I cannot find anything!

It may have been removed as it was superseded by poly meshing and latterly poly-hexcore in Fluent Meshing.

Cutcell is now called Mesh Method: Cartesian, used to mesh solid bodies.

Thanks not sure I'd want to use that for a fluid region!
