I AM UNABLE TO START ANSYS MECHANICAL ,THE WORK BENCH AND DESIGN MODELER WORKS FINE, BUT WHENEVER I START ANSYS MECHANICAL I GET THIS MESSAGE , "the application has crashed or has lost communication".

CURRENTLY I AM USING ANSYS 2021 R1.

PLEASE SUGGEST ME A SOLUTION I HAVE BEEN FRUSTRATED BECAUSE OF IT AND UNABLE TO LEARN ANSYS MECHANICAL.

Can you run through one of the tutorials? Just trying to check if the error is specific to your model. Please post inline images of the errors.

WHEN I START ANSYS MECHANICAL FROM WORK BENCH I GET THIS MESSAGE

NOW IT IS SHOWING "unable to start mechanical editor"

Can you save the project and re-try? If that fails also post the full path where the files are stored.

I'VE TRIED THIS TOO , IT ISN'T WORKING STILL IT IS SHOWING THE ERROR
NOW THE ERROR IS DIFFERENT FROM THE PREVIOUS ONE I SAVED THE FILE ON DESKTOP WHERE ELSE WOULD I SAVE IT .
THE SOFTWARE AND THE FILES ARE STORED IN THE SAME DRIVE C
SUGGEST ANOTHER WAY PLZ .

Please provide the full path. Are there any "odd" characters in the path, userID or machine name? By odd, I mean £ $ or non-English letters.

NO THERE ARE NO ODD CHARACTERS THERE IN THE PATH .
CAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE ME A LINK, TO DOWNLOAD THE PREVIOUS VERSON OF THE SOFTWARE ,LIIKE 18 OR 18.2 BECAUSE I'M REALLY FRUSTATED WITH THIS PROBLEM NOW ,I'VE TRIED ALL THE POSSIBLE WAY OUT THERE .

Apologies, but version 18.x is not available anymore.
You can download Prior releases from the download link
Can you send the output from opening a DOS Command Prompt and typing in:
set
and also:
ping localhost
Please post the output as we are not permitted to open files.

Unfortunately, Windows 7 is not supported.
The downloadable versions require a minimum of Windows 10.

BUT I AM ABLE TO OPEN ANSYS WORKBENCH,AND DESIGN MODELLER THINK ONLY ANSYS MECHANICAL NEEDS WINDOWS 10 IF THIS IS THE SOLUTION, THEN I WILL NEED TO UPGRADE MY WINDOWS THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT ,CHEERS TO THE ANSYS TEAM :):):)
