Gaussian input in EME Solver

      Hi guys

I'm modelling a fibre-chip coupling process. However, I only have the mode field diameter and NA of the fibre but no refractive index of core or cladding is provided. Is there a good way to represent this kind of fibre? I am thinking of input a Gaussian beam with the correct diameter. However, I found the gaussian source input is only available in the FDTD solver and I want to model the chip in EME solver as the chip length is several hundred um long.

May I ask for some suggestions? Many thanks in advance!

For EME, you can import the source at port
Please note that your result can only be as good as your model, including the source.

Thank you so much for your reply.
When I click the user import button, a window pop up and ask me to upload something. May I know where shall I download the field file? Thank you!

Because you want to import Gaussian source, you should have your own data. you can also use script to generate the beam.

May you attach a link here to show how to generate the file? I didn't find any information about doing this. Thank you so much!
