I want to study electric field across the geometry when applying 42V at 200kHz.

I have the following questions for assigning boundary and excitation.

      1. For PML, does the minimum radiating distance have to be equaled lambda/4? ie: can it be smaller? My entire geometry is very small, approximately < 3cm. The default value is 37500cm.
      2. I want to add the voltage source, but there is no place to input the value. I can't change the voltage values in the properties section as well.

I'm reading Ansys HFSS - Getting started materials from Ansys Hub. If there is any recommended HFSS tutorial video, please let me know. Thank you.

PMLBoundaryshould be placed at leastlambda/8 distance from the radiating object. You can also useFE-BIboundary for keeping radiation box closer thanPML boundary.
You can scale the voltagesourceby right mouse clicking on excitations and select edit sources.

Please go throughÔÇ£assigning PML boundariesÔÇØandÔÇ£scalingsourcesfor HFSSÔÇØsectionsfromtheHFSS help document for detailed information.
Please go through our course available in AIC channel for video tutorials -Electronics Engineering Courses | Ansys Innovation Courses

Where I can find the videos on AIC? Whether I enroll in the course or not, I can only access the pdf. files. Thank you.

I have additional questions for adding the voltage source. I want to learn about E-field across the geometry. Can the directed line be perpendicular to the face (in y direction) that I will apply the voltage on? if not, how I should assign this line? It seems like the directed line can only go along the x- and z-direction.
      Thank you.
