Fluent heat transfer analysis – interface problem?

I am conducting a heat transfer analysis on a 'battery pack' which sits inside an insulated box and is heated by an air stream. The fluid air region is in grey and all other regions are solid. I've manually created interfaces between the different cell zones as coupled walls.

When I initialise I get the following message:

Interface zones overlap for mesh interface interface1. This could adversely affect your solution.

Inteface 1 is the interface between the air and the block (dark green). I'm guessing this is because I've applied inflation in the fluid region and the meshes no longer match at the interface?

Should I remesh or can I continue as is?

Can you list the interface to see the portion of overlapping? Always better to remesh and then run and not to run and then judge :)

      Dear Dr Amine
I've checked in the mesh and it doesn't seem like there are any overlapping regions when I check the Connections tab, I think maybe it was when I updated the mesh and the automatic connections were recreated and there is a duplicate. Simulation seems to be running ok.

      Kind regards Sean

      Dear Dr Amine,

Sorry again another question. When I create the mesh connections I've treated the interfaces (i.e. between air and the block) as coupled walls. This creates a wall boundary condition with the coupled wall setting but the material is automatically aluminium by default. Do I manually need to change these to the actual material as selected in cell zone conditions or will it pick that up?
      Thanks and regards Sean

If you do not have special resistance (finite thick isolation) and the wall is of zero thickness = Material of the Wall: Does not affect anything.

      Great, thank you.
