What is the possible reason that one might not get any data in time monitors?

      I was simulating a file to obtain a bandstructure of a crystal. However, in that file, some of the time monitors in the bandstructure group just don't generate any data. Always these monitors don't display any result. What can be the possible reason, and how to avert this problem?

      Are the monitors inside the simulation region? If they're outside the simulation region they will not produce any data.

      Okay. So I noticed that some of the time monitors were one the blue region (the symmetric portion of the boundary). That's why those monitors were not giving results. It was very straightforward. I didn't check that portion.
      Thanks. That solved it.

      It is just randomly locating the position of bandstructure TimeMonitor? Then check at simulation and memory requirements. like this

      Monitors
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m1: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m2: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m3: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m4: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m5: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m6: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m7: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m8: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m9: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file
      Time Monitor, ::model::bandstructure::m10: 510 kB (0.6%)
      510 kB saved to fsp file

      How many sources are required to get the bandstructure? is it fixed to 6 dipole source? 3 at the top and bottom on XY view?
