SubscriberHello,
When I plot the torque-speed characteristics for a certain motor that I am designing I am getting the curve below.
I don't know why I am getting that dip in the middle of the plot. I tried changing the increment and I still got that dip at a different location. Is that an error with my design or an error with the software itself ?

Ansys EmployeeHello Hanisadek Could you share the setting on Model build and Calculation tabs in lab model?
In E-magnetic model, could you change to "FEA" in "Saturation Model" in Calculation? If it is an induction motor. Thanks.

SubscriberHello,
here they are:

I always use FEA for the calculation of the saturation model (since results will be more accurate)
I am trying to replicate the design found in a paper to test the software and see if I can get the same results.
I am getting similar results for the steady-state operation, but not the same torque-speed curve for the flux weakening region.
your help will be highly appreciated! thank you

That was very helpful!

SubscriberIf I just look at the figure, the value is zero. It seems that the calculation is not solved. May I ask how did you solve this problem at the end? Thanks.
