      Hello
We have a very nice course in modal analysis/dynamics which we would like to recommend.
      /courses/index.php/courses/modal-analysis/
Also in that course, there is a chapter on the mode participation factor:

All the best and we hope you find our free course useful.

      Hi

I am unable to view the participation factor in pre stress modal analysis.

I am checking in the solution information drop down.

But I can see the same for free-free modal analysis.

      Can anyone help me out.

      Thank you.

      Hello,

I am going to copy this reference and summary. Please let me know if this helps. Thank you!

      Sean

*In ANSYS Mechanical, if you are unable to view the participation factor in pre-stress modal analysis, it could be due to the use of the PCG solver with Future Analyses set to None. In this case, the .full file is not written, and mode participation factors are not extracted ("Title: In a Modal Analysis of Mechanical, why aren't the Participation Factors Summary under Solution Information displayed?", ANSYS Knowledge Resource).

To resolve this issue, you can change the Solver Type to Direct or set Future Analysis to MSUP Analyses. This should bring back the worksheet summary with the participation factors.

Hi, I have previously had this issue and I resolved after I set the future analysis to MSUP. Now I dont find MSUP option in future analysis. How can I resolve it.
