Defining Boundary Conditions for Turbulent flows in Ansys Fluent - Lesson 3

Ansys Fluent offers various approaches for modeling near-wall turbulence based on the near-wall mesh resolution. This is expressed in terms of y+, which is a dimensionless number. In this lesson, we will learn how to estimate physical wall distance for a given value of y+ and how to use Ansys Fluent’s post-processing tools to check and confirm the y+ values. We will then learn how to set up boundary conditions for turbulence, discuss different turbulence specification methods, and understand the guidelines for specifying inlet turbulence boundary conditions in Fluent.
