In nonlinear analysis, is the stiffness update done for each iteration or each substep?

By default, for most of the nonlinear analysis the stiffness update is done for each iteration in Mechanical software. Updating stiffness during the nonlinear Newton-Raphson solution procedure can be controlled with the NROPT command.
