Problem Description and Workflow — Lesson 2

Before we dive into the parametric variation analysis using Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software, we will first describe and understand the example problem that underpins this course and get a brief overview of the overall analysis procedure. The example problem aims to minimize the pressure drop across a duct with turning vanes and this lesson focuses on exploring the geometry, mesh, and the Ansys Fluent solver setup, in addition to discussing the input and output parameters. This lesson also briefly outlines the analysis procedure which involves Process Integration, Sensitivity Analysis, and Optimization.
