Optimization — Lesson 5

This lesson offers a comprehensive guide on the final step of parametric variation analysis using Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software. We will explore two optimization methods – Optimization on the Metamodel of Optimal Prognosis (MOP) or Direct Optimization. We will learn how to use the optimization wizard, understand how to initiate the optimization process and interpret the post-processing results. The lesson also covers the comparison between the best designs obtained from the sensitivity analysis and optimization on MOP, highlighting the option of conducting direct optimization if the optimization on MOP does not yield satisfactory results.
