This course covers the comprehensive study of Microwave Resonators, Transmission Line Resonators, and Waveguide Resonators. It begins with an introduction to series and parallel resonant circuits, exploring the Q-factor, bandwidth, and resonance conditions. For instance, learners will understand how the Q-factor affects the bandwidth of a circuit. The course then delves into Transmission Line Resonators, discussing the impact of line length, attenuation constant, and propagation constant on resonance. A practical example would be the resonance conditions in half-wavelength and quarter-wavelength short-circuited transmission lines. Lastly, the course explores Waveguide Resonators, explaining how they store electrical and magnetic energy and their application in frequency meters. The course concludes with a detailed study of the resonant frequencies for TE mn or TM mn mode and the Q factor for cylindrical cavities.
