Torsional force is the most critical load transmitted through the monocoque. Loads are induced by the uneven surface or cornering forces. Composite monocoque should be stiff enough to withstand all the static and dynamic loads coming onto the vehicle during racing conditions. So, torsional stiffness of the chassis needs to be tested properly to know how much the structure can resist twisting and cornering.
In this video, you will learn to visualize the ply layers through section cuts in Composite PrepPost and apply the boundary condition for torsional analysis using Mechanical.
You will also learn post-processing for composites and how to calculate the torsional stiffness of a frame using Mechanical.
