After a simulation has been run, the results must be analyzed. Using a variety of techniques, analysts need to understand the data that has been generated, but also must be able to communicate the relevant information to parties of interest. Having a general sense of what is occurring, as well as how to visualize the data, is a crucial skill when performing CFD studies. In this video, students will be introduced to post-processing results in Ansys Fluent.
In this video, students will learn how to post-process the results they have obtained through running their simulation. A wide variety of techniques used to understand the results will be demonstrated. Students will explore visualization techniques such as surfaces, plots, streamlines, and vectors. They will also learn how to extract quantities of interest such as mass flow rates at the boundaries of the domain, as well as the forces and moments acting on the rocket. All these tools will present information in different ways and can be used to help communicate results.
