Traditionally, you might rely on manual parameter tuning and trial-and-error for inductor design. It can be time-consuming and may not always lead to the best design. This tutorial demonstrates a step-by-step workflow of inductor design optimization by combining accurate electromagnetic simulation in Ansys Maxwell® advanced electromagnetic field solver with automated design exploration using Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software. By applying this workflow, you can systematically search the design space and identify high-efficiency solutions much faster. This approach not only improves design quality, but also significantly increases engineering productivity.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this tutorial, you will be able to:

  • Automatize Ansys Maxwell software in EDT in the Ansys optiSLang application using the Solver Wizard.
  • Derive scalar output Parameters from signals.
  • Use Sensitivity and Optimization Wizards in Ansys optiSLang software to set up the Algorithms.
  • Use Optimization on the MOP.
  • Create a scalable and accessible Ansys optiSlang Webapp.
  • Gain more background of Sensitivity Analysis and Optimization.
