Additive Manufacturing presents unique challenges, particularly in minimizing deformation during the printing process. This workshop will focus on identifying and optimizing critical process parameters to enhance print quality, mechanical performance, and overall reliability, using Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software and Ansys Additive Suite™ comprehensive additive manufacturing solution.

The Sensitivity Analysis will be explored to identify the most influential parameters affecting deformation and how you can calibrate and fine-tune these parameters for improved outcomes. Using a cantilever beam calibration example, this workshop will demonstrate how Ansys optiSLang software efficiently optimizes multiple parameters and evaluates its impact on deformation.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

    • Conduct Sensitivity Analysis to determine key process parameters.
    • Optimize multiple parameters to minimize deformation.
    • Utilize Ansys optiSLang software for automated workflow optimization.

Prerequisites:

    • Ansys optiSLang Getting Started.

Please note: These training materials were developed and tested in the 2025R1 release.
