This course provides an overview about the usage of connecting Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software and Ansys Zemax OpticStudio® optical system design and analysis software in the Ansys optiSLang software using the Ansys Zemax software node. For this application, a three-lens system, called Cooke Triplet will be used. Moreover, a Sensitivity Analysis and a Single-Objective-Optimization will be conducted.  

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:  

  • Automatize Ansys Zemax OpticStudio software in the Ansys optiSLang software (Solver Wizard). 
  • Use Sensitivity and Optimization Wizards in Ansys optiSLang software to set up the Algorithms.
  • Use of direct Optimization.
  • Understand Information of the Postprocessing for Sensitivity and Optimization.

Prerequisites:

As a prerequisite, basic knowledge about Ansys optiSLang software is recommended which can be obtained by attending the course Ansys optiSLang Getting Started. Besides Ansys optiSLang software, you may see a need to look at Ansys Zemax OpticStudio.
