The workshop provides a step-by-step guide to mapping forces from Ansys Maxwell® advanced electromagnetic field solver to Ansys Mechanical™ structural finite element analysis software for a quarter IPM model at one speed. It covers the entire process from project setup to force postprocessing, ensuring accurate force calculations and validations.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

    • Start and configure new projects in Ansys Maxwell solver and Ansys Workbench™ simulation integration platform, ensuring compatibility between versions.
    • Define rotating speed and phase current specifications accurately.
    • Perform force calculations with appropriate time steps and harmonic setups.
    • Validate mesh requirements to capture harmonic forces accurately.
    • Solve forces in Ansys Maxwell solver, visualize the mesh, and verify HPC options.
    • Visualize forces at different tooth locations and set up frequency parameters for structural analysis.
    • Ensure mechanical projects align with Ansys Maxwell projects and map forces to structural systems.
    • Map forces and moments loads on each tooth in the Workbench project.
