This course is divided into 2 parts:
- Symmetric and undamped modal solvers (Block Lanczos solver, PCG Lanczos solver, Supernode solver and Subspace solver).
- Parallelization scheme with Shared Memory parallel (SMP), Distributed Memory Parallel (DMP), Hybrid options (Description, setup, recommendations, knowledge) with a focus on more IT related performance items.
Learning Outcomes:
Following completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Select appropriate modal solvers according to your analysis type.
- Select the right memory management related to your hardware.
- Have a deep understanding of performance with Shifting strategy and MXPAND option.
- Select best choice between DMP and Hybrid parallelization scheme.
- Communicate more confidently with your IT Department (by having more common skills).
