The Ansys CFX FSI course is an advanced course covering modeling approaches for fluid-structure interaction applications using the Ansys CFX® computational fluid dynamics software and the Ansys Mechanical™ structural finite element analysis software. This course will cover the setup, solution and convergence of one-way and two-way FSI simulations. You must have experience running Ansys CFX software and some prior experience using Ansys Mechanical software for the training to be effective.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Select the most appropriate FSI approach, depending on their particular application and the required simulation accuracy.

Prerequisites:

  • Completion of Getting Started with Ansys CFX Software: Basics is required.
  • Experience with Ansys CFX software is strongly recommended.
  • Experience with Ansys Mechanical software is desirable.

Please note: These training materials were developed and tested in the 2020R2 release.
