This course will teach you how to take your conceptual design of a single blade of a turbomachine (pump, turbine, fan, compressor) to the next level of a 3D flow analysis and design improvement using Ansys Turbosystem. You will be introduced to the individual Ansys Turbosystem tools used for a 3D single blade design and how these are combined in a seamless workflow in Ansys Workbench™ simulation integration platform. You will also learn how you can do a robust Design & Optimization for the design of Turbomachines using Ansys DesignXplorer™ design optimization application.

  • Understand the structure of the Ansys Turbosystem.
  • Conduct 3D single blade design and flow analysis of a turbomachine.

  • Turbomachinery Design: 1D/2D Conceptual Design
  • Completion of the 1-hour, self-paced course Introduction to Ansys Workbench is recommended.
  • Introduction of Ansys DesignModeler - Module 1
