Atomization is the term used to describe the process of breaking up bulk liquids into smaller droplets. This breaking up happens due to the aerodynamic forces within the gas streams. A controlled version of flow atomization is what we call sprays, which have numerous applications in almost every field.

In this course, we will learn how to use VOF-to-DPM transition model using Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software to simulate such complex scenarios.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Simulate flows involving flow atomization in Ansys Fluent.
  • Setup a simulation using VOF-to-DPM transition model.
  • Employ dynamic mesh adaptation.
  • Setup and generate solution animations.

Prerequisites:

  • Completion of Ansys Fluent Beyond the Basics is highly recommended.
  • Some experience with CFD simulations of multiphase flows is desirable.

Please note: These training materials were developed and tested in the 2023R2 release.

  • Cost:
    $450.00
