This course practices various magnetization types practice magnetization types: radial, trapezoidal, peripheral-tangential and cartesian in Ansys Maxwell® advanced electromagnetic field solver. There are workshops on Halbach arrays and cylinders as well as demagnetization due to fault conditions and due to temperature. The final workshop simulates the real process of magnetic magnetization with a pulse signal.
Learning Outcomes:
Following completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Set up various magnet simulation configurations.
- Explore magnetization and demagnetization.
Prerequisites:
- Knowledge of electromagnetics including magnetic properties of materials.
- Maxwell Getting Started or prior Ansys Maxwell software or Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT)™ electronics systems design platform experience is recommended.
Please note: These training materials were developed and tested in the 2019R1 release. However, due to kernel change, simulation files compatible from 2024 R2 version are also provided.
