Planar Transformer Capacitance Extraction using Ansys Maxwell A-phi Solver
1-2 HOURS
This tutorial demonstrates the application of AC Magnetic A-phi solver for planar transformer parasitic capacitance calculations (winding self-capacitance and turn-to-turn capacitance). Detailed simulation procedures, setup configurations, and results are provided, along with a comparison between the AC Magnetic A-phi solver and the Electrostatic Solver. This tutorial also highlights the different assumptions adopted by the two solvers in capacitance calculations and discusses their impact on simulation results. It is particularly valuable for engineers and researchers working in consumer electronics and power electronics.
