We will introduce an integrated Ansys solution for weld fatigue simulation using a generic vehicle subframe as an example. 

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Conduct geometry preparation in Ansys Discovery™ 3D product simulation software.
  • Understand the basic workflow to create multiple mesh-based welds in Ansys Mechanical™ structural finite element analysis software. 
  • Familiarize yourself with the new fabricated structure meshing algorithm. 
  • Set up and run the static analysis for a vehicle subframe in Ansys Mechanical software.
  • Conduct weld fatigue analysis using Ansys nCode DesignLife™ fatigue life prediction software. 
  • Conduct a fatigue life driven design studies and optimization using Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software.
