In this course, you will learn how to execute the Boundary Element Method (BEM) Acoustics Mesh Workflow. This course helps simulate sound propagation around structures using only surface meshes, making it ideal for external acoustic simulations.
Unlike Finite Element Method (FEM), BEM requires just the surface of the source body. However, for internal sound propagation scenarios, you may choose to close openings like holes to define the acoustic domain more accurately.
Learning Outcomes:
Following the completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the BEM Acoustics mesh workflow and its applications.
- Prepare geometry and define necessary named selections.
- Configure analysis frequency and mesh settings effectively.
- Execute key workflow steps such as Fill Holes, Wrap Parts, and Improve Mesh.
- Complete the mesh workflow and assign physical properties for simulation.
Please note: These training materials were developed and tested in 2024R2 release.
