Overview
Electric motors are widely used in high-tech electronic products, including fan motors in AR/VR headsets, voice coil motors in loudspeakers, haptics-engine actuators, and motors used in robotic hands and flexible joins in humanoid robots, to name a few. This webinar will present an end-to-end simulation workflow for electric motors and their control systems in high-tech applications using Ansys Motor-CAD, Ansys Maxwell and other tools such as Ansys Simplorer/Ansys Twin Builder and Matlab/Simulink.
We will cover the generation of custom motor geometries, rapid design exploration during concept design stage, electromagnetic and multiphysics analysis during detailed design, high-fidelity reduced-order model creation, and system-level simulation for controller performance evaluation. Two detailed examples will be discussed; designing and optimizing a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) for an AR/VR headset and designing and controlling multiple brushless DC motor (BLDC) for a robot.
