This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Acoustic Analogy in aeroacoustics, highlighting its role in distinguishing true noise from pseudo-noise and addressing key modeling challenges.
You will gain practical experience implementing the FW-H model using Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software, including setting up and solving aeroacoustics simulations, defining source surfaces and receivers, and interpreting results.
The course blends theoretical insights with hands-on application to build a strong foundation in computational aeroacoustics.
Learning Outcomes:
Following completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Grasp the core theory of Acoustic Analogy and its vital role in aeroacoustics.
- Distinguish between aerodynamics and acoustics and understand key modeling challenges.
- Analyze Lighthill’s Acoustic Analogy and dive deep into the FW-H model, exploring their strengths and limitations.
Please note: These training materials were developed and tested in the 2024R2 release.
