This course will teach you how to simulate Sloshing in a Fuel Tank using Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software. You will use the Volume of Fluid (VOF) approach to model the sloshing phenomenon and use various animations and report plots to analyze fuel starvation at the inlet of suction pipe including the measure of fluid forces exerted on the tank walls.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Set up and run a transient simulation of Sloshing in a Fuel Tank.
  • Use VOF multiphase model for this transient simulation.
  • Set up hybrid-NITA solver, use in-built Stabilization Methods and patch phase volume fractions using cell registers.
  • Create report definitions and scene animations for analyzing the simulation results.
