This course covers a demo of the Ansys SCADE® embedded software product collection for not only to control the speed of a motor without a physical sensor but also to implement monitoring functions and an emergency stop feature. The software is integrated on a RISC 8-bit microprocessor and some experiments are performed with the real system, e.g. a motor calibration. Finally, the necessary steps like sensing and control, software implementation, and safety considerations (emergency stop) are discussed and documented.
