width=This course covers the comprehensive study of aerodynamics, focusing on supersonic, subsonic and two dimensional flows. It begins with an exploration of steady and unsteady supersonic flow over a thin aerofoil, explaining the potential flow equation, the concept of a Mach cone, and the influence of the speed of sound and body speed on the cone of influence. The course then delves into the mathematical equations related to the topic, including the steady 2D equation, the wave equation, and the boundary conditions. It also discusses the concept of radiation condition and its impact on supersonic flow. The course further explores the concept of aerofoil pressure in supersonic flow, the significance of the Laplace transform, and the concept of reduced frequency. It also covers the concept of subsonic flow and its application in aerodynamics, including the Kernel function approach and the Fourier transform method. The course concludes with an in-depth study of Two Dimensional Incompressible Flow and the concept of two-dimensional unsteady flow in incompressible conditions.
