NPTEL

This course covers the comprehensive understanding of vehicle dynamics in electric vehicles. It starts with the simulation of dynamic equations, focusing on the derivation of different dynamic equations with variable tractive effort forces. The course explains the three modes of operation for an electric vehicle: constant torque mode for initial acceleration, constant power mode for high-speed operation, and constant speed mode for maintaining a steady speed. It further delves into the torque-speed graph, explaining the different regions of operation. The course concludes with the simplification of dynamic equations, assuming no load forces and inertia, and the calculation of time, average power, and energy required in each mode of operation.
