FAQ
ParticipantFor semi-eliptical cracks and arbitrary cracks, the base mesh must be comprised of quadratic tetrahedra. If the hexahedral mesh method is used, or if linear elements are in the buffer zone to the crack, crack meshing will fail. More information can be found in ANSYS Help, on section help/wb_sim/ds_fracture_limits.html.
