Why my 2D mesh is appearing as a 3D mesh with a thickness of one cell in Workbench Meshing?

      Such 3D display of your 2D mesh is due to the option “View/Thick Shells and Beams” which is ticked. If you want to display a 2D grid, uncheck this option in the GUI of ANSYS Workbench Meshing.
