FAQ
ParticipantThe Tolerant Volume Extract feature enables you to generate a volume even when there are gaps between the bodies. You need to define the maximum allowable gap tolerance between the bodies.
To create the volume, use the Volume Extract tool in the Prepare tab. By enabling the “Create Tolerant Volume” option in the options panel and specifying a maximum gap tolerance, the volume will be generated when the gaps are smaller than the set maximum.
Please refer the following video to understand how you can use this feature.
Note that this is a beta feature for Ansys Discovery 2025 R1, which provide options that are outside of the normal scope of Ansys Discovery. Please refer this KM to understand how to enable beta features: Ansys Discovery: Activating Beta Feature 2025R1 | Ansys Knowledge
