Solution
ParticipantCFX automatically creates a composite region of both adjacent faces from a Named Selection when these faces have a 1:1 connection in Meshing, that is, when they share topology. As a result, the Named Selection cannot be used directly for the manual setup of the interface in CFX, but the native mesh regions must be selected. This solution describes how the Named Selection can still be used to facilitate the selection of the correct mesh regions during the interface setup.
