Prerequisites (Collaboration and Web Services)

Your IT department must complete an additional, separate installation to enable the web services and the collaboration services required to connect to projects stored on your Microsoft 365 account. The installation package is available from the Discovery Downloads Add-on Packages.

To enable Collaboration in Ansys Discovery, addition steps are needed to access files stored on Microsoft 365:

• This Ansible Installation document explains how to do this with Ansible, which will help you set up and maintain the deployment of Discovery Collaboration and the Companion Web-Application services.

To resolve any errors during configuration of these collaboration and web services, please refer to the Error troubleshooting guide for more information.

You must have Microsoft 365 collaboration features enabled to use the web application. The address to access the Discovery web application in your browser will depend on configuration from your IT department.
