POLYFLOW: In the ScaFTen case, why is the vortex was not seen in the corner while it is predicted with e.g. the Phan Thien-Tanner model?

The absence of vortex is nearly normal. The baseline for the development of the SVE model is swelling in extrusion. Important effects such as elongational viscosity (producing corner vortices) have been discarded. Actually, incorporating all possible viscoelastic effects into a simplified one would eventually lead to a model that would be computationally as expensive as another tensorial viscoelastic model. The reduced computational cost is possible only when one accepts to discard some features.
