In the Fluent 18.0 Highlights presentation on the Customer Portal, slide 34 indicates that surface reactions can now be computed using the Chemkin-CFD solver. Is the choice of chemistry solver for the surface reactions set using the same control as the volumetric reactions (Chemistry Solver setting in the Species Model window)? If not, where is this controlled? Does this apply to both wall surface reactions and particle surface reactions?

FAQ
ParticipantThe choice of Chemistry solver is still done from the Species Model panel (where the Stiff Chemistry solver is usually selected). Once the mechanisms are loaded, the chosen solver applies to all active chemistry.
