The Ansys Innovation Space website recently experienced a database corruption issue. While service has been restored there appears to have been some data loss from November 13. We are still investigating and apologize for any issues our users may have as a result.

How many cores are supported with a single or multiple ANSYS HPC pack? ANSYS HPC are physic-neutral licenses which can be used to run a single analysis across multiple processors and work with most ANSYS, Inc. products. Contact your ANSYS sales representative for a complete list of applications that can be used with ANSYS HPC Pack Licenses. ANSYS HPC Pack Licenses enable parallel for single simulations according to the formula: 8*4^(Number of HPC Packs-1). That means a single pack would allow for single run on maximum 8 CPU’s. Two packs would allow for 32 and so on to the maximum of 14 HPC Pack Licenses on a single analysis. Within the release 19.0 the first pack would allow for 8 CPU’s. For release 18.2 the first pack allowed for 10 CPU’s.
